“Personal Information” refers to information that identifies a Learner, such as first and last name, identification number, email address, age, gender, location, photograph, and/or phone number provided at registration or at any point thereafter on the Platform.

“Sensitive Personal Information” includes (i) passwords and financial data (excluding the last four digits of credit/debit card numbers), (ii) health data, (iii) official identifiers (such as biometric data, Aadhar number, social security number, driver’s license, passport, etc.), (iv) information about sexual life, sexual identifiers, race, ethnicity, political or religious beliefs or affiliations, (v) account details and passwords, or (vi) other data categorized as ‘sensitive personal data’ or ‘special categories of data’ under applicable Data Protection Laws, such as the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

As a Learner, you can exercise these rights through the options provided on the Platform once you are logged in. If you encounter issues or need further clarification, please contact us using the contact information in the ‘Grievances’ section below, and we will address your concerns as required by applicable laws.

Right to Confirmation and Access: You have the right to confirm the existence of your Personal Information and to access the data we hold about you, along with supporting details.

Right to Correction: You may request the correction of any inaccurate Personal Information, and You can ask us to update any incomplete or outdated information.

Right to be Forgotten: Under certain circumstances, You have the right to restrict or prevent the ongoing disclosure of your Personal Information.

Right to Erasure: If You wish to withdraw or remove your Personal Information from our Platform, You can request the erasure of your data. Please note that such removal will permanently erase all of your Personal Information (except as outlined in this Policy) and may lead to the deletion of Your account on the Platform, which cannot be undone.

We take all reasonable measures to protect against unauthorized access, use, alteration, or destruction of Personal Information and other data on the Platform. The disclosure of such information is limited to:

  • Our employees, contractors, and affiliated organizations who need access to such information to process it on our behalf or provide services available on our Platform, and who have agreed not to disclose it to others.
  • A response to court orders, or other legal or governmental requests. We may also disclose such information when we believe in good faith that the disclosure is necessary to:
    • Comply with laws, regulations, court orders, or government and law enforcement requests;
    • Protect and defend a third party’s or our rights and property, or ensure the safety of our users, employees, or others; or

TERMS APPLICABLE IF YOU ARE AN INDIAN RESIDENT

All requests can be made by using the option provided to you within the Platform upon your login. You may also write to us as stated in the “Grievances” section above, and we will address your concerns to the extent required by law.

  • Right to Confirmation and Access: You have the right to get confirmation and access to your Personal Information that is with us along with other supporting information.

  • Right to Correction: You have the right to ask us to rectify your Personal Information that is with us that you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to update your Personal Information that you think is incomplete or out-of-date.

  • Right to Data Portability: You have the right to ask that we transfer the Personal Information you gave us to another organization, or to you, under certain circumstances.
